Gretchen Blynt

Gretchen Blynt's early dance training consisted of ballet, modern, jazz, and tap classes at Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute in Utica, NY.  Gretchen continued her dance education in college at the University at Buffalo where she double majored in dance and English, taking courses in the major dance disciplines, as well as dance history, anatomy and kinesiology, nutrition, and technical theatre.  Also, at UB, she both performed in and choreographed for the student production, Dancer's Workshop, served as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate ballet course, and interned at Moving Miracles, a studio for students with special needs.

Gretchen has taken classes with many professional artists including Alvin Ailey, Bill T. Jones, Paul Taylor II Company, Elisa Monte/David Brown, and Savion Glover.  She has performed abroad in Prague under Lynne Barr.  Gretchen has taught ballet and jazz here in the Catskills at The Janice Center in Jeffersonville, NY for two years.  She is also a licensed Zumba ® instructor. Gretchen is also the previous co-owner of CDM.

Gretchen holds NYS teaching certificates in English 7-12, Dance K-12, and Special Education 1-12.
