Rebecca Banker-Studio Owner and Director
Rebecca Banker grew up in the Catskills and started dancing at a young age locally. Rebecca’s dance training includes many styles of dance including jazz, tap, ballet, modern, and lyrical. She has performed at a number of dance competitions, annual productions, and shows throughout the community.
Rebecca has taken three years of dance classes and dance history in high school and attended competition workshops during that time. She has participated in classes from professional Broadway faculty including Ashlee Dawson, Bobby Clark, and Thom Lake. Rebecca has also completed the Broadway Dance Center’s teacher workshop in NYC and completed many college dance classes throughout her time at SUNY Oneonta. Rebecca taught ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and tumbling for a number of years before opening the doors at CDM.
Rebecca graduated from Downsville Central School and has her bachelors degree in Child and Family Studies from SUNY Oneonta. She is was previously the Director/Lead Teacher of the YMCA Jumpstart Preschool program and After School program at Walton. Rebecca is currently our lead teacher at our in house learning program, Little Star Learners.
Rebecca is First Aid and CPR certified. She holds her Barre Above, Kids Yoga, and, Zumbini/Zumbini for school licenses, as well as being certified in SPARK Early Childhood and School Aged curriculum.
"Miss Quinn" grew up in the Catskills and started dancing at age 3. Quinnlyn's dance training includes ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and modern. She has performed at many annual productions, community events, and competitions growing up.
Quinnlyn has taught under Rebecca as a teacher assistant, since CDM has opened its doors. She has brought a smile and many ideas since her first day helping out. Quinnlyn has a talent for working with our youngest dancers and is now taking on her own classes.
Quinnlyn is a graduate from Downsville Central School. She is currently the teacher assistant in our learning program, Little Star Learners.

Mrs. Garrett (Ms.Joy) was born and raised in Virginia where she began dancing at the age of 3. Upon high school graduation she attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she received a BFA in Dance and Choreography. She started Joy's School of Dance, Inc. in 1989 teaching Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern and choreographing for the JSOD Jewel Competition team.
Additionally she has choreographed numerous musicals for high schools and churches and is a member of Dance Educators of America. Several of her students have furthered their career and dance in numerous companies in Richmond, VA and New York City.
Miss Tammy grew up in Northeast Pennsylvania where she began dancing at the age of 3. Her dance training includes ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop. She has performed in many annual productions and shows in PA.
Tammy was a student teacher and substitute teacher at the Honesdale Dance Studio. She has taken classes from professionals including Mia Michales and Darren Hensen. Tammy has also taken many classes at the Broadway Dance Center in NYC.
Miss Tammy is currently teaching CDM's hip-hop and tap classes. You will also see her subbing for other teachers in their absence.
Allison Lovrin- Yoga Teacher
Allison Lovrin is a recent transplant to Franklin from NYC. She’s been teaching yoga and meditation since getting certified in 2012 at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in Woodbourne, NY, where she first fell in love with Catskill Mountains. Since then, she has been practicing and teaching Vinyasa and Kundalini yoga across Queens. She specializes in making the practice of yoga playful and fun, as well as using contemplative practice to help soothe and heal anxiety. Allison teaches Vinyasa, Kundlini, and Hatha style yoga.
